Is Rematch Crossplay on PS5, Xbox & PC?

If you’ve been keeping tabs on upcoming sports games, there’s a good chance Rematch has popped up on your radar. It’s the new arcade-style football (soccer, for our American friends) game coming from Sloclap. Its the same studio behind the martial arts hit Sifu. With its flashy visuals, fast-paced gameplay, and futuristic setting, Rematch is looking like a wild ride. But one big question a lot of players are asking right now is: Is Rematch going to have crossplay?

Short answer: Yes. And it’s looking great.

|Rematch Will Have Full Crossplay

Sloclap has confirmed it, Rematch will support crossplay across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S right from the start. That means no matter what system you’re playing on, you’ll be able to team up with your friends or go head-to-head against them with no barriers.

It’s a smart move, especially for a competitive team-based game. Crossplay helps keep matchmaking fast and balanced, while also making it way easier to play with your crew, no matter what platform everyone’s on.

|What’s the Game About?

Set in a futuristic world in 2065, Rematch takes the core of football and gives it a vibrant, arcade-style twist. You’re not dealing with full 90-minute matches here, these games are short (about 6 minutes), chaotic, and packed with action.

Some highlights include 3v3, 4v4, or 5v5 match formats depending on how you want to play. There are no offsides or fouls, which keeps things moving fast. You can customize your player however you like, there are no limits based on gender or body type. The over-the-shoulder camera makes the action feel more personal, and the dynamic music system reacts to the flow of the match, keeping the energy high.

|You Can Play It Early

​The open beta for Rematch, began on April 18, 2025. This beta will be available across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms, offering players an early opportunity to experience the game’s fast-paced, team-based action.

To participate, players can register through the official Rematch website or request access via Steam. Beta keys will be distributed progressively to those who sign up for the newsletter or request playtest access . If you’re curious to get your hands on it early and help shape the final version of the game, you can sign up for beta access.

The dev team is actively collecting feedback, and they’re focused on making sure the game feels balanced and smooth no matter which platform you’re on.

|Should You Be Hyped?

If you’re into team-based games, quick matches, Rematch is definitely worth keeping an eye on. And with crossplay right out of the gate, it’s going to be much easier to jump in with friends and enjoy it without platform limitations.
