Once Human Xbox: Is It Coming to Consoles?

Is Once Human Xbox happening? So, you’ve probably heard the buzz around Once Human, right? It’s that weird but super cool survival game that dropped in July 2024 and kinda blew up fast. It’s all about aliens, creepy monsters, crafting, and trying not to die in a world gone totally off the rails. But if you’re on Xbox, there’s one thing you’re probably wondering: when’s this thing coming to console?

Let’s break it down real quick.

|What Even Is Once Human?

Once Human is basically a survival MMO with some serious sci-fi vibes. It’s set in this post-apocalyptic world where a mysterious alien substance called “Stardust” has totally wrecked the place. People are mutating, weird monsters roam around, and honestly, it’s kinda awesome.

You play as a “Meta-Human,” which means you got weird powers thanks to Stardust, but you’re still human-ish. You can team up with other players or go solo, build your own base, explore the ruined world, and battle all kinds of creepy stuff. Think Rust meets The Last of Us with a splash of X-Files energy.

|Is It On Xbox?

Alright, here’s the thing, nope, not yet.

Right now, Once Human is only on PC. You can grab it through Steam, the Epic Games Store, or NetEase’s Loading Bay launcher. And there’s even a mobile version coming up (you can pre-register for it already if you’re into that).

But Xbox? Not there yet. Same with PlayStation.

|What Are the Devs Saying?

The dev team, Starry Studio, has actually talked about this. They’re not saying “never,” but they’re also not shouting “coming soon” either. In a post on their Discord and a few interviews, they basically said:

“We’re focusing on PC right now, listening to feedback and fixing stuff. Once we got that sorted, maybe we’ll think about consoles.”

Which honestly makes sense, they just launched. Rushing a console port wouldn’t do anyone any favors.

|Will It Ever Come to Xbox?

Probably, yeah, eventually. Survival games do really well on console (ARK, Rust, DayZ, you get the picture). If Once Human keeps growing and players keep asking for it, you can bet they’ll consider an Xbox and PlayStation release. Just don’t expect it this year or anything.

So, bottom line? If you’re on Xbox, you gotta wait a bit. Once Human isn’t on there just yet, and we don’t have an official release window. But the devs haven’t ruled it out, so it’s definitely not off the table.

If you’ve got a decent PC, you can dive in right now and see what all the hype is about. Otherwise, keep your eyes peeled, there’s a good chance we’ll be seeing Once Human on consoles sometime in the (hopefully not too far) future.
